We’re just a couple of weeks away from Nomadic Beers’ next Open Taproom, which will take place on Saturday 13th April from 12pm. This time, the Open Taproom will also include an Open Mic event.
Brewery owner “Gaffa” Katie Marriott and Head Brewer Ross Nicholson are now settled into the new brewery, with all brewing operations now taking place there.
“We’ve brewed four beers here now” said Ross, “All the beers on at the April Open Taproom will have been brewed here instead of at Burley Street.”
There will be three starting beers on from Nomadic, all brewed in the new brewery, plus one guest. “We’ll have on a new 4.5% beer called Simcoe which is one of our single-hop beers” said Ross. Core beers Bandit and Strider complete the Nomadic starting line-up. The starting guest beer is Wendigo, by Neepsend Brew Co.
As well as a great range of beers on the bar, there will also be cider from Pure North, gin from Leeds Gin, plus soft drinks. Soft drinks are available free of charge, but a small donation to St Gemma’s Hospice is encouraged.
Food is being provided by The Spicy Biker, who are making their Nomadic Beers Taproom debut.
“We also wanted to do something a bit different this time” says Katie, “so we’re having an Open Mic throughout the day too.”
Budding artists are welcomed to come and share their talent with Open Taproom visitors. The Open Mic is free to take part and any performers will receive a free pint afterwards.
Nomadic’s April Open Taproom will run from 12pm-8pm on Saturday 13th April, in their brewery at Unit 11 Sheepscar House, 15 Sheepscar Street, Leeds, LS7 1AD.
The Brewery is next door to Enterprise vehicle rentals, a 15-minute walk from Leeds City Centre & just 3 minutes away from nearby North Brewing Co’s brewery tap room - Here is a map. The brewery is also fully accessible.
