After a year off we are very excited to announce our annual conker tournament is back and here's what you needs to know:

Date & Time:

Saturday 30th October, kick off at 3pm

Entry Fee:

A cash donation in to the St Gemma's Hospice collection tin or an item for the Leeds Food Bank. You can see what they needs here


  • Bring your own conker

  • One conker per person - if you win your round it will move on with you

  • Play order will be drawn out of a hat

  • Coin toss to see who strikes first

  • Each player to take it in turns to strike

  • Winner is the first person to destroy the other persons conker

  • Time limit is 5 minutes

  • If the time limit is hit, Winner is the person with the least conker damage - decided by Gaffa Katie

  • Cheating will result in disqualification and a fine of £2, payable in to the charity box

  • Gaffa Katie’s decision is Final

Anything else I need to know?


Although we usually have a lot of big kids (adults) enter the competition, children are also welcome to play and will need to be supervised by an adult at all times.

We will have other games available too, including ghost skittles and pin the stalk on the pumpkin.

We have 4 guest keg beers on along side the usual Nomadic cask this week from our friends in the industry.

Come along in costume! We'll have a mini costume competition at 4 pm, after the conker tournament.
