Nomadic Beers will be holding a dog show as part of their July Open Taproom, which takes place on Saturday 27th July 2019.
“We’re a dog-friendly venue and for this Open Taproom, we wanted to put them in the spotlight” said Katie Marriott, who is the owner of Nomadic Beers.
“It won’t quite be Crufts” laughed Katie, “but we will be setting some fun tasks and categories to join in as part of the day.”
“There’s no need for owners to sign their dogs up, just bring them along and join in the fun.”
The schedule for the dog show is as follows:
13:00-13:30 Best trick (dogs or owners!)
14:00-14:30 “My dog is the best” competition for children
14:30-15:00 Waggiest tail competition
15:00-15:30 Slobbiest dog competition
15:30-16:30 Dog Bowling competition
“There will be plenty of refreshment available whilst dogs (and dog owners!) are put through their paces” Katie continued.
There will be four hand-pulls on rotation, featuring a guest ale from Wakefield’s Five Towns Brewery alongside Nomadic brewed beers.
“We brewed a beer called Elysium which will be on the bar” said Head Brewer Ross Nicholson, “It’s a bitter chocolate and chilli stout. It’s a bit unusual for the Summer season but it tastes great!”
Also available to drink will be cider, wine and gin, plus soft drinks. Soft drinks are available free of charge, but a small donation to St. Gemma’s Hospice is encouraged.
Food will be provided by POCO Sicilian Street Food, who are based in Leeds.
Nomadic Beers’ July Open Taproom will run from 12-8pm (ish) on Saturday 27thth July, in the brewery at Unit 11 Sheepscar House, 15 Sheepscar Street, Leeds, LS7 1AD.
The Brewery is in the same yard as Enterprise vehicle rentals, a 15-minute walk from Leeds City Centre and just 3 minutes away from nearby North Brewing Co’s brewery tap room - Here is a map. The brewery is fully accessible.
