It's that time of the year and I love it. We have been part of Women on Tap Festival for the last 4 years. Starting from having a beer on in Little Ale House (Harrogate) in the first year to brewing a festival beer with the WOT Team this year, I loved growing up as a company with them.
This year we are holding an Art & Beer weekend at the Brewery Taproom. We have three artists exhibiting their work and you will have a chance to buy originals and prints.
For those of you who have followed us for a while, Christine Jopling will be no stranger. Christine is an Illustrator based in Pudsey and has worked with us several times for pump clip artwork, our logo and, of course, our lovely murals around the brewery.
Christine will be exhibiting her bright and colourful original canvases, prints and pompoms (yes pompoms).
If you've visited the brewery you may have noticed the Hackspace. This is how I met Nix. She is one of the directors and also an amazing photographer. This is her first exhibition selling prints and I cannot wait to see what she brings with her. Nix specialises in portraits and fine art photography and enjoys playing with lighting. She will also be launching her new website and Etsy Shop on Friday as part of the Exhibition.
Last, but by no means least, is Imilia Illustrates. Emily is no stranger to the Leeds Beer Scene and has worked and owned bars in Leeds City Centre (most recently Wapentake and Slocken) before taking over Oscar's Bar in Morley last Summer. Emily is also a talented artist using ink and watercolour. I just love her House Portraits... I definitely need to get one commissioned of the Brewery!
Each artist will be with us on Friday 12-10pm and Saturday 12-8pm. We will also have the usual cask and keg lines of Nomadic Beers and guest lager from Amity Brewing.
The Exhibition is free, we are accessible, and love it when you bring the whole family and your four legged friends.
If you would like to book a table you can so here, but we also have tables saved for walk-ins.
If you are unable to make the exhibition why not support our Artists by dropping them some love on their social media feeds and online shops, listed below. There is also numerous events happening during WOT Fest, both in real life and online. You can find the full listing here.
Hope to see you soon,
